Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a narrowing of the peripheral arteries that carry blood away from the heart to other parts of the body. The most common type is lower-extremity PAD, in which blood flow is reduced to the legs and feet.

Critical Limb ischemia (CLI) is the most advanced form of PAD.

If you have PAD or CLI, you are not alone. Over 18 million people experience PAD in the United States, and over 200 million worldwide. Life with CLI can be devastating with chronic leg pain, non-healing wounds, reduced mobility and poor quality of life.
